Friday’s Favourites
The first Friday’s Favourites of the year. As this is a style blog I thought I would inject a little more fashion into this weekly post, so now every friday I will provide you with some interesting links to browse through, as well as an inspirational ensemble that catches my eye.
Enjoy.
{How can this woman look so impossibly chic without a sceric of black in her outfit? It’s time I injected some colours into my wardrobe! What do you guys think? Could you pull this off?}

- I see the New Year as not only a time to look into the future, but also a chance to reflect on the year that has passed. This collection of powerful images of 2011 is the perfect way to look at what the world experienced over the last 12 months.
- Here are is a wonderful collection of inspiring {& very pretty} quotes to ring in the New Year.
- I started my Search for the Perfect Wardrobe last week, & it seems to have caught on. I was so excited to see this blog had used my post as inspiration for her own shopping manifesto.
- I spent some {read far too much} time on this website, which allows you to build your very own bespoke Burberry coat.
The Perfect Wardrobe: Intro
Christmas is all wrapped up for another year. I hope you all had a happy & fun-filled Christmas break. Mine was spent eating, fishing, reading & relaxing on the beach.
Perfection.
During my time on the beach, I had somewhat of a Fashion Revelation. No, I’m not joking.
You see, I love my blog {& my readers ;) }, and while I initially started it as a way to show people that individual style can be achieved no matter what your budget – I was never satisfied that I was doing it right.
The truth is that I am a fashion-lover but am SO opposed to the wastage & general attitude towards fast {& cheap} fashion. I wanted to provide my readers with style that is achievable within a real budget, but in doing so I was promoting cheap options to choose from {cheap in both price & quality}.
I realised that my humble little blog was contributing to the very things I disagree with. I want my blog to be proof that people who have limited budgets can still have a wonderful wardrobe full of quality garments, without falling victim to the consumerist notion of disposable fashion.
So now, {perfectly in time for New Year resolutions} I will be ensuring that my blog {& wardrobe} are in sync with my view of quality over quantity & stop wasting my money on fast fashion. I am going to build The Perfect Wardrobe {or at least try really hard too}.
