{Image from Life Styled. By Paula Joye}
I came across this article last week & just had to share it with The Window Shopper readers.
Paula Joye of the popular site Life Styled interviewed Kelly Smythe, an Australian stylist with some serious style-cred. {just check out the images if you need proof!}
Kelly talks about her must have items, favourite labels & how to find your own style, but the most interesting part is where she recommends her clients buy quality over quantity & that less is more when you are shopping on a budget. Sounds familiar eh?
“What would you advise someone with a low-budget that still wants to look stylish? When I have someone with a low-budget I encourage them to get their head around the less is more concept. It’s the basic pieces that people never seem to have. We should all own a good pair of skinny jeans, a good flat shoe and a great jacket, scarf and pair of sunglasses. Then you can add to it as the season goes.“
It’s great to see an Aussie stylist who agrees with The Window Shopper’s ideals, we sure wish Kelly was helping us sort out our Perfect Wardrobe! Paula’s interview is a seriously good read so make sure you click-through & absorb all of the fashionable tips, tricks & pretty pictures.

Back to Uni & Kate Spade New York
Today I am officially back at Uni, after a wonderful & jam-packed holiday & I am SO ready to get back into it & hit the books. {Nerd, who me?}
During the holidays I spend most of my time in casual clothes & when I am working I am dressed professionally, so when Uni finally comes around I look at it as my little break in fashion monotony, the one occasion where I can show a little-more-than usual creativity in my outfits & have some fun. So this semester I am rekindling my Kindergarten roots & going back to primary , no, not school… colours!
