DIY: Lace & Stud Denim Shorts

Posted by: on Oct 24, 2012 | One Comment

Rummaging through my old winter clothes for this post, I found these old jeans. The legs were too big, there were way too many holes & they were out of fashion. But it’s Summer here soon so instead of throwing them away I decided to turn them into a pair of shorts I can get some wear out of!

Before:

After:

What you’ll need:

  • an old pair of jeans
  • lace
  • scissors
  • needle and thread
  • studs

Step 1: Lay the jeans flat & cut off the legs at your desired length, effectively making them shorts

Step 2: Cut a triangle shape from each side seam {the one on the outside thigh}

Step 3: Measure and cut your lace to fill the triangle shaped gap

Step 4: Pin your lace so it doesn’t move, then sew the lace into place

Step 5: Put your studs on.. wherever you want.

Wear!
